I have just seen a very cool software called The Action Machine. It seems to be a top notch product that really could help anyone “get things done”. That’s what the product vendor says. I decided to give it a go and see for myself if the software is really magic or just one more tool among the ones that already exist. keep reading my review and you’ll find out my results with The Action Machine.
The first thing I have to say is that the software has a very cool interface. It’s somewhat customizable so you can change colors to any of the options available. It is also very intuitive so anybody can use it with no big problems. However there is a learning curve you will have to face but it’s not a big deal really.
This is what the software looks like:
So, How The Software Works? What Can “The Action Machine” Do For Me?
This software works on a very clear principle that you probably know already. To make it work you will have to do these 3 things:
- Write everything you want or need to do in a day. Decide what are those tasks that you really need to accomplish, like writing, reading, do the cleaning, do some research work, etc.
- Decide how long you should spend, at most, to finish those tasks. If you can divide all of them into 15 to 30 minuutes tasks you will have the best results.
- Decide which task you want to accomplish first. Start a timer or alarm clock and during the time period alloted to such task focus ONLY on finishing it. Do nothing more. No answering the phone, no tv, no Facebook or Twitter.
Go and practice this very simple system everyday and you will see such a great improvement in your life. Everyday you will feel terrific for all the things you have accomplished in your day. No more feeling bad or frustrated due to procrastination.
But, why this sytem work?
This system works because:
- Everybody, implicit or explicitly, like setting goals. It’s in our nature. Our brain work uncounsciously towards reaching the goals we have set.
- Setting a deadline for each goal impulses your brain to focus and work actively. The closer the deadline, the more excited your brain gets!
- The goals become believable. If you have divided your goals into mangeable tasks and you focus on developing them, your mind gets clear. No more overwhelming or confussion. This alone is a great procrastination killer!
This system has caused so many success stories around the globe that you couldn’t believe.
I have myself felt blessed by the system described above. I am doing it since long ago when I found it in some book I can’t recall in this moment. At that time I did everything the old fashioned way: I took a notebook, wrote a list of tasks, wrote a deadline in front, decided the order to develop them and, then, set an alarm clock. After that, everytime I finished a task in my list I crossed it out with a pen and restarted the alarm clock.
The old fashioned way of doing things takes more time and resources, and sometimes, just don’t work anymore. This is how it looked, by the way:
The Action Machine
Hopefully Derek franklin (a best selling Adobe/Macromedia author) felt the pain of doing things manually and decided to code a little, extremely useful piece of software that can really put the system outlined into ” 2.0 Version”
Now, in “Goal Setting 2.0″
it looks like this:
Very cool interface, isn’t it?
With this wonderful program you just need 3 things:
- A list of tasks
- The time to do them
- And clicking your mouse to start the software
And the results you will see are really awesome:
- You’ll get more things done
- You’ll have more free time
- You’ll build momentum
- You’ll sharpen your focus
- You’ll reach your goals and dreams
- You’won’t feel guilty or overwhelmed again
- Say sayonara to procrastination!
I have myself experienced these wonders. I am sure you can too.
